Let’s start with what it is NOT: Several studies have shown there is no correlation between job performance and grade point average. There is also no correlation between high profile academic institutions vs. lower profile institutions and job performance.
Okay so then what is the key to job performance? It is an “attitude” that says tell me what you want and when you need it and I will do it, but do not micro-manage the project. Other characteristics include: self-discipline, flexibility, resilience, no fear of failure, collaboration to get team members ideas, and an open mind throughout the process. No prima donnas allowed on the team.
